As expected, it seems odd that Apple would not add a camera on both the current generation iPad all manufacturers do this tablet. As predicted earlier, IPAD 2, which launched in San Francisco, USA, on Tuesday (03/02/2011) morning local time has also been equipped with two cameras at once.
"We have to equip it with a camera for video. We put the camera on the back and front,"said Apple CEO Steve Jobs told a news conference at the Yerba Buena Center of the Arts in San Francisco, California, USA.
In explanation dio its website, Apple said the two cameras are designed to do videochat through FaceTime applications. This application had previously been introducedto the the notebook Mac Pro and the iPhone 4 . And now three sets of users who have supported FaceTime can perform two-way communication in the form of video.
Both cameras can also be used alternately during a videochat. If the front of the camera is activated, users can communicate with each other as direct. At the moment did videochat, users can switch to rear camera to share something in front of him to his interlocutor. To do FaceTime must with a WiFi network. Unfortunately it is only exclusive layananvideochat by FaceTime and Apple is not open to third-party applications.
Rear camera can also be used for recording in video format HD (high definition). Indirectly, IPAD 2 also can be used to make high-quality film to capture an interesting event in front of the user. Recordings can be directly edited and shared via YouTube or email. The camera also has supported the rear light sensor so that users can record with a variety of effects in any condition both during the day or night with minimal lighting.
To create a more professional video recording, iMovie application could be an option. Users can add titles, choose a theme, and transitions between scenes, even spundtrack. The results can be shared on Facebook or YouTube. However, users have to spend more in the 4.99 U.S. dollars from iTunes because iMovie is not available as a free application.
While with the front camera, users can use it to create unique photo yourself. Apple has provided an application that provides many Photo Booth effects to produce a personal photo with the feel of classic to artistic.
