Samsung Become Mobile Phone Favorite Brands in 2012. Samsung rumored to have beaten Nokia for mobile brands
categories in 2012, according to market research firm, IHS iSuppli.
"This change is the first time in 14 years, Nokia no
longer occupy the top position in the mobile industry," said the IHS
iSuppli, as quoted from France24.
"Samsung currently holds a percentage calculated by 29%
of the worldwide mobile phone shipments, rising from 24% in 2011, which
marketshare Nokia has now dropped to 24% from the previous one is 30%," they
added.
IHS iSuppli also said that it is also a first: a South
Korean company leading the global handset market.
